FIREARMS TRAINING BASIC – ADVANCED SOUTH DAKOTA LAW ENFORCEMENT PISTOL QUALIFICATIONS COURSE.
All security officers that complete this course will receive a certificate South Dakota Law Enforcement Pistol qualification.
This program introduces and reinforces the fundamentals of tactical shooting and weapons handling skills under stress. The foundation is a solid understanding of basic marksmanship and weapons handling/manipulation, but shooting is much more dynamic than static range training and more opposition focused than competition shooting. Speed, movement, stress, and accuracy are emphasized to create success on demand. The principals and techniques of shooting are developed through lecture, demonstration, and performance. The program explains and demonstrates the specific techniques to perform this very rapid, but accurate type of firearms presentation and shooting. The student will practice the fundamentals of shooting. This program will build the skills required to successfully employ these techniques in a survival situation.
PEPPER SPRAY (OC) TRAINING.
All security officers that complete this training will be certified to carry (OC)
To use OC Pepper Spray responsibly, an officer must know how to deploy it in a safe and ethical manner. David A Johnson Sabre Law enforcement (OC) instructor personally teaches this course to ensure officers know how to use and deploy pepper spray in a way that is safe and controlled for everyone involved.
Training Description: Participants will learn what OC is and how the spray is made, when and how to appropriately deploy it, how to decontaminate and how to document and report when OC is used. Instructors review company policy, use of force protocols, and how to care for a suspect. Participants learn about defensive techniques for carrying and deploying pepper spray, and what the physiological impacts are.
USE OF FORCE – SITUATIONAL AWARENESS – THREAT IDENTIFICATION – DE-ESCALATION TECHNIQUES
When safeguarding people and property, security professionals often find themselves at the forefront of challenging situations where quick decisions can have significant consequences. Understanding the principles, guidelines, and ethical considerations surrounding the use of force is critical for every security guard. In this guide, we’ll explore the use of force continuum, share examples, and highlight guidelines.
HANDS ON ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING
This course is designed to prepare the security officer to isolate, distract, and neutralize an active shooter. This course covers shooting and moving, threshold evaluation, concepts and principles of team movement, setting up for and room entry techniques, approach and breaching the crisis site. Force on force scenarios.
